Internal Rhyme- Rhyme inside a line of poetry Example: The cat picked up the bat.
End Rhyme- when the last word of multiple lines of poetry rhyme Example: She didn’t know what to do If only she could count on you
Mood- The way a poem makes the reader feel

Imagery/Sensory Language- Words that appeal to your senses of sight, sound, smell, touch, or taste Examples: fuzzy, sour, pine scented cleaner, clang, bright blue
Alliteration- Repeating the initial, or first sound of words Example: Her hair flowed like hot lava. The H sound and L sound are repeated at the beginning of words.
Theme- the central meaning, message, or lesson of the poem Example: Never give up, beauty can be found in ordinary things
