ENVIROWISE OBJECTIVES To reduce UK industry’s impact on the environment whilst……... Saving UK industry £585M per year by 2015 – currently £270 million/year. A total saving of £1 billion so far.

WHAT’S ON OFFER Unique project for public sectors bodies and their suppliers Usually up to 10 host public sector bodies as a pilot Normally inviting 25 –30 suppliers each Aim is to reduce waste and costs from joint business activities Free technical support from Envirowise to identify where waste and costs can be reduced

THE PROGRAMME Four phases – over six months Launch Free company visit for suppliers – energy, waste, water, design Free support for public sector organisations Free training workshops for all Impact assessment Case studies for exemplar suppliers Programme to concentrate on one service delivery area e.g. catering, office supplies or furniture to be agreed

PHASE 1 Half day launch n Overview of the Programme to selected suppliers n Outline supply chain partnership benefits and opportunities n Sign up for FTV and future training workshops

PHASE 2 Initiate public sector organisation waste mapping activities Support benchmarking activities for priority resources Manage and present benchmark data Co-ordinate Free Fast Track Visits for suppliers

PHASE 3 Training workshops These will cover resource related issues e.g. energy, water, resources etc. Implementation support Discussion and progress on action plans

PHASE 4 Record supplier achievements on an ongoing basis for public sector organisations and suppliers Measure aggregated financial savings and environmental improvements Case study of exemplar suppliers Encourage dialogue for future cost and environmental savings
