When they are found, it checks if there is a kit/bill of materials for that product and if there is, it puts an inventory transaction into the inventory adjustment file to bring the kit/master item to zero and consume the subcomponents.  So if you sell a can of Coke, it can convert that to 1/24 of a case. Enter the finished good stock number in the BOM Stock box. 3. Select the appropriate costing method for the item. 4. Activate the Update At Post check box to have the cost updated each time a bill of materials transaction is posted for the item. 5.
