The Holocaust was a mass murder of Jewish people. It was lead by Adolf Hitler. Started in 1933 and ended in 1945. Nazi’s were commanded by Hitler to remove Jews from their homes, and to destroy any Jewish schools and buildings owned by Jews. Approximately 6 million Jews were killed, either in their homes, on the streets, or in Concentration Camps

The word holocaust comes from the Greek word “holokauston”, which means a completely burnt sacrifice to God. Anyone with at least 3 Jewish grandparents was to be killed with no exceptions. Holocaust denial is now a crime in Germany
