1 or 2 sentences Be short and to the point Avoid wordiness Avoid job titles. It is best to use broad categories of jobs rather than specific titles. The job objective provides a focus for your resume.

Clearly state what sort of a job you want Job objectives should be stated as verb phrases rather than sentences. rather than sentences. Carefully selected verbs will make you sound confident Omit "I-centered" or obvious statements. Such as "where I can learn" or "which will enable me to advance."
