What are the project objectives? Develop institutional (CDM framework and internal institutional) and technical capacity to enable Mozambique access CDM

What is the CD approach used? regional centre- EDRC national institutions –Uni Eduardo Mondlane (centre for engineering studies) Ministry of Coordination of Environmental Affairs (MICOA) Inception meetings- introduce project

Specific objectives: define how to -Establish institutional framework for CDM and develop relevant capacity -Develop technical capabilities of project developers -Establish a pipeline of the CDM projects Uni Eduardo Mondlane- lead Worked very closely with MICOA Phase 1: Phase 1: development of a national work plan

Undertook institutional analysis for framework How was the plan developed? Guiding principle: -sustainability beyond project Process of establishing the framework was explored –transparency & inclusive Recomendations for framework based on: -ability to fulfil DNA role and capacity of institution

Project developers- analysis How was the plan developed? (2) what project development skills should be built and who should be targeted? Guiding principle:CDM project developer needs to sustain themselves.
