1 Day of the Dead By Gavin and Tara

2 When is it celebrated? F It is celebrated from October 31- November 3.

3 F November 1 is known as “Dia de los Angelitos” or “Day of the Little Angels”. This day is the day when deceased children and infants are honored.

4 F November 2 is known as “Dia de los Difuntos” or “Day of the Dead”. This is the day when deceased adults are honored.

5 Where is it celebrated? F It is celebrated mostly throughout Mexico.

6 How is it celebrated? F The Day of the Dead is celebrated a little differently almost everywhere. Common things include; building private altars, cleaning and decorating graves, having parties, and feasts with family.

7 F They also will set out pillows and blankets for the deceased to rest on.

8 F Children’s favorite toys are often brought to their graves.

9 What do they eat? F They eat tamales, sugar skulls, Pan de Muerto, and other candied delicacies. Pan de Muerto in the shape of a skull.
