3. Who founded/started The Salvation Army? The Salvation Army was started by William Booth and his wife Catherine Booth. William Booth was unhappy with his church. Because they were only paying attention to god and not to all the poor people outside living in the street.

4. When did William Booth decide to do something about this? In the Victorian times William Booth started a task that was so hard but he could still tackle. Start the Salvation Army but it was so hard that he needed his wife to help a bit.
