Do not use –ed

Past tense verbs tell about something that happened in the past. The past could be yesterday, last year, last week, an hour ago. Usually we add “-ed” to the verb to show past tense: Yesterday, I helped the teacher. Last week, I studied for my test.

there are some verbs that are past tense and don’t follow the “-ed” rule. They are special or irregular verbs.

Present tense: come Past tense: came (not comed) On Tuesday, a visitor came to our classroom. Present tense: say Past tense: said Yesterday, we said we would walk to school. Present tense: throw Past tense: threw She threw the ball to the pitcher.
