First Grade: Our goal is to help students realize that math is part of daily life while they: Learn critical problem- solving skills; Focus on rapid recognition of addition and subtraction facts; Lower School

First Grade (con’t): Identify, extend and create various types of patterns; Develop a strong sense of number relationships; Apply skills in place value, geometry, measurement, time, money. Lower School

Second Grade Addition and subtraction facts to 18; Single and multi-step word problems; Problem solving strategies; Place value to 1,000, regrouping; Identifying geometrical shapes; Solving problems involving measurement; Lower School

Woolrich Grant: TI Technology In depth program at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. Learned the in’s and out’s of the new TI-Nspire hardware and software. Workshops on Problem Solving methodology.
