3. Why do college students suffer from alcohol abuse? College students suffer from alcohol abuse when they frequently drink and justify their actions. High emotional levels

5. What is so bad about alcohol anyways? Students who suffer from alcohol abuse detach themselves from who they are and do not relate to their actions to those of a “average” drinker. Behavior changes when alcohol abuse occurs

6. What is the next step? Research has found that educational messages help emphasize the consequences of consuming alcohol. Intervention is another good way to show the consequences of alcohol. Feedback is also found effective.

7. Feedback Feedback was found helpful because it was a way to help students reflect on their actions. Students will answer questions and do journals and turn them in online, via mail or email. Then students where able to see what they wrote about and understand the person they are becoming or the person they used to be.

8. Intervention There were several types of interventions that where being used but the one found most effective was an intervention called PAS. This intervention targeted adolescents and parents. This way when students reached college they where already fully aware of the dangers of alcohol.
