2 Organization and courses Graduation 3 years Master 2 years Ph. D. 3 years Six Departments around 100 professionals

3 Mathematical, Physical and Natural SciencesMathematical, Physical and Natural SciencesIn the Faculty of MPN Sciences, there are internationally renowned scientific groups of researchers; the student/professor ratio is excellent; and the lecture halls and educational labs are modern and well- equipped. New degrees are available (Biotechnology, Material science, Mathematical Statistics and Data Processing), others are still new but more consolidated (Computer science), and others have a long tradition and are strongly correlated with new businesses (Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, Physics, Mathematics), or with territorial and environmental activities for which Liguria offers extremely interesting natural laboratories (Geology, Environmental sciences and Natural sciences).

4 Initiatives The faculty organises and promotes activities to disseminate a scientific culture, study-career guidance and support and information on courses: Series of scientific films with observations from university Professors Conferences Organisation of mathematical and chemistry games INDAM and SCI scholarships for first year students and secondary schools students Tutoring and exam preparation services Museum tours Scientific culture week: career guidance meetings with students and laboratory tours Masters and specialisation Courses E-learning experiments for some courses

5 Masters and degree courses Cellular and molecular biology Medical-Pharmaceutical biotechnologies (restricted number of students admitted: 30+3 places for non-EU citizens residing abroad, of which 1 for Chinese citizens) (with Pharmacy and Medicine and Surgery) Industrial chemistry Physics Computer science Mathematics Methodologies for conservation and restoration of cultural assets (with Arts and Philosophy) (restricted number of students admitted: 30+1 places for non-EU citizens resident abroad, of which 1 for Chinese students) Marine environment science Biology and health Chemical science Science of natural systems Geophysical science Geology Science and technology of biological monitoring Material Science and Engineering (with the Faculty of Engineering)
