As a sixth grade student of Skyview Middle School, your child will be eligible to participate in the Skyview Band Program. Participation in band can provide for your child an important means of positive, creative personal expression. In this class, the child will develop greater self- confidence and responsibility, and will come to a better understanding of the rewards of group effort. It can also serve as an opportunity for a unique type of social interaction.

The Skyview Band Program aligns all instruction, selection of music, methods and supplemental material with the Colorado Model Content Standards for Music. Through performance and study all students will learn basic music elements and gain appreciation for a life-long love of music.
