Social System Germany For the employees its an obligation to be member of the National Insurance. It consists of the accident insurance, the annuity insurance, the health insurance, the nursing care insurance and the unemployment insurance

Unemployment benefit ~ What? Getting money when you lose your job ~ How? Prove that you are looking for a job ~ Amount of money? Depends on : - previous salary (60%) - family status The longer you are unemployed, the less your benefit is.

Unemployment Benefit * To apply for benefits you have to go to the Fund for payment of Unemployment Benefits * Depending on your age you have to be employed a specific length of time to get the benefit.

Unemployment Insurance (Germany) It‘s paid by the employees, the employer, the state and other resources -There are two levels of money you get when you are unemployed Level 1: 60 - 67% of your income in the first year of unemployment Level 2: about 360 Euros per month after one year of unemployment

Annuity Insurance (Pension) It has to be paid by the employee and the employer to the same extent It makes sure that a retired person has no financial problems if your partner dies you get a certain amount of the pension If necessary the state pays a part of the pension

Health Insurance = how to cover you medical expenses * All employees and self-employed people in Belgium must contribute to a health insurance fund. * Amount of money? 7,35% of your gross salary

Health Insurance (Germany) Every member has to pay premiums The extent of the premiums depends on the financial capacity of the member The amount of premiums that has to be paid is shared equally between employee and employer This ensures the necessary medical help in case of illness

Handicap in Belgium Does a disabled person get benefits? Income replacement allowance when they are not able to work Integration allowance improving the day-to-day life

Nursing Care Insurance (Germany) Half of the premiums has to be paid by the employees and the employer and the other half is being paid by the government People without children have to pay more for this insurance due to the fact, that the care can’t take place within the family The insurance doesn’t cover the full amount of costs for the nursing care, it’s meant as an aiding rescue to minimize the financial risk of care

Accident Insurance (Germany) -It is paid by the employers. The insured employees don‘t have to pay anything for this insurance. -The insurance covers the costs for medical treatment which is caused by the accident at work due to working conditions by accidents you have on the way to your job
