COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVES The comparative form of an adjective compares two things. The superlative form of an adjective compares one thing with others.

Comparatives are normally followed by “THAN” in order to describe and compare two things. Look at the following example: USE OF COMPARATIVES

Superlatives are preceded by “THE” and are used to compare one item with all the rest. Look at the following example USE OF SUPERLATIVES
