Indirect Object Pronouns An indirect object tells you for whom an action is being performed. Direct objects are what the action is being done to. Indirect object pronouns are used to replace indirect object nouns

Indirect object pronouns Our professors didn’t used to allow us to drink in class. Nuestros profesores no nos permitían beber refrescos en clase The indirect object pronoun is “us” in English or “nos” in Spanish because its for whom the action is being done.

Indirect object pronouns SingularPlural me( for) menos(for) us te(for) youXX le(for) him, her, you (formal) les(for) them, you all Because “le” and “les” have more than one meaning, you can make the meaning clear by adding “a + name, noun, or pronoun” Example: Lolita siempre les decía la verdad a sus padres

Indirect object pronouns Like direct objects pronouns, indirect object pronouns are place right before the verb or attached to the end of the infinitive or a command. Example: Siempre le quería comprar dulces a su hija Siempre quería comprarle dulces a su hija
