Animal Agriculture is Important to Wisconsin In 2013, Wisconsin ranked 7 th in the nation in cash receipts from livestock sales. Wisconsin ranked 2 nd in milk cash receipts. Wisconsin also ranked 10 th in cattle, 17 th in hogs, and 11 th in turkeys. Animal agriculture in Wisconsin consumes significant quantities of soybean meal. 2
