10. Alliteration Definition: The repetition of the consonant sound at the beginning of words. Example: Sally the snake slithered swiftly to safety.

12. Onomatopoeia Definition: A word whose sound imitates or suggests its meaning. Example: The students clapped their hands after a great performance from the school band.
