Organisation Groups these vary. Ability, social/friendship and fluid ones will be used. Routines – Changing books in the morning on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Red contact books in basket everyday. Library books in on a Wednesday. Books, stationery – Will be provided at school.

POSITIVE DISCIPLINE Aim to identify and praise children’s good behaviour. Golden rules – IB Learner Profile Words. Golden Time Rewards system – House points and carpet rewards.

Personal belongings Uniform Hat PE kit and swimming kit Pencil case, pencils etc (optional) School bag; library bag No mobile phones Jewellery – religious or medical significance allowed; earrings – studs or sleepers allowed No sweets. Toys allowed on buses IMPORTANT: NAME ALL BELONGINGS; INCLUDE CLASS CODE.

Growing Up The children should continue to become more independent now they are in Year 2, following on from their experiences in Y1 and their previous schools. We encourage them to: Pack and unpack their own bag. Look after their own property. Label everything! Get dressed and undressed for PE and Swimming. Remember to change their reading books in morning.

Celebrations Birthday cakes – cupcakes or donuts preferred; Class celebration at end of each term. No nuts please.
