5 Speakers – Dr. Chil-Yong Kang Professor of Virology within the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University Worldwide headlines with development of the first and only experimental HIV vaccine Vaccine completed Phase 1 Clinical Trials successfully

6 Speakers – André Picard Public health reporter at The Globe and Mail One of Canada’s top public policy writers Best selling author Critical Care: Canadian Nurses Speak for Change The Gift of Death: Confronting Canada’s Tainted Blood Tragedy

8 Aspects of the Conference: Seminar & Discussion Panel  A total of 4 seminars (i.e., A, B, C, D) throughout the duration of the conference  Seminar B = Case challenge, discussion panel, debate  Approx. 4 speakers per seminar  Sign up for one based on interest  Time is usually allotted, at the end of each seminar, for students to ask questions and bring up topics of discussion pertaining to the speaker’s presentation or area of expertise

12 Transportation  Coach bus  Last year approximately $85 per person for round trip to Kingston  lower this year  Pick up at Natural sciences building Friday afternoon  Arrive in Kingston Friday evening  Drop off back at Campus Sunday evening  We will collect money next week!

13 Hotels – Confederation Place Hotel  When you register there is an option to book a hotel  Two night stay is $64.10 in a four person room  15 minute walk to Queen’s University  Cut costs and stay with a friend at Queen’s
