The Black History Committee of Orange County, Inc. is committed to educating our citizens on American History. The BHCOC is committed to improving dialogue as it pertains to the contributions that African-Americans have made to society as a whole. The committee is also committed to improving literacy in our community by donating funds to students who wish to continue their education by obtaining an undergraduate or graduate degree, and to help the disadvantaged at large. the contributions that African-Americans have made to society as a whole. Scholarships Donated BHCOC has donated over $100,000 to local Schools, Colleges and Universities in Orlando and throughout the State of Florida. Scholarships Donated In past years, over $5,000 was also donated to the community at large to help with Tutoring, Water for Haiti, Victims of Fire, Little League, local Churches and more.
