3. What is Force?
Force- A push or a pull that changes the motion, size, or shape of a body
Examples:
Buoyant force
Compression Force
Elastic Force
Shearing force
Tensile force

4. Forces-Two of a Kind?
Contact force
Noncontact force

5. Contact Forces
Contact Forces require contact between two objects or substances.
Buoyant Force- the upward force that keeps things floating in a liquid

Elastic Force- the force that acts to pull a stretched object back to it’s regular shape

Friction- the force that resists motion in two objects that are moving against each other
