An angel had said in Joseph’s dream. “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him. Here you can see Jesus fleeing just as Moses did from the Pharaoh in Egypt with his people. Back to Main Slide

“when Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years and under. This relates back to Moses from when the life of the Pharoah was endangered and after asking the oracle he had sent many out to kill any new borns. Back to Main Slide

“when Herod had died, behold, the angel of the lord appeared in the dream of Joseph in Egypt and said Rise and take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child’s life is dead.” You can relate to Moses because he left Egypt with the Israelites just as Jesus left Egypt with his parents.
