Materials Resistor Capacitor 555 Timer Chip Battery (6 VDC) LED POTentiometer (variable resistor with 3 legs) Direction matters! Multimeter Stopwatch -+-+ -+-+

Build Your Circuit Do not connect this leg! Measure using multimeter resistance in Ohm and capacitance values in Farad Place your components on the breadboard Direction of LED and Capacitor matters! Potentiometer (fold one leg and do not connect)

Analyze your Circuit Make R pot = 100kOhm Connect battery Measure blinks/sec Calculate blinks/sec Disconnect battery Repeat for R pot = 75, 50, and 25kOhm
