Develop web pages for instruction and communication.ret I Using the most appropriate communications technologies (e.g., multimedia presentations, Web pages, digital videotapes, desktop- published documents).

Curriculum Planning Standards BPS Student Technology Competencies ISTE 21 st Century Skills List the standards that you will address with this unit. Lesson Overview: Topic Goals Activities Assessments (Include information on your topic, goals, kinds of activities and assessments. Also state how this lesson fits into the scope and sequence of the BPS curricula. Part II. Technology Integration Technology Tools List the technology(ies) that are used in this lesson. 16 What is a wiki? from the Hawaiian word for quickly a Wiki is a type of website that allows the visitors to add, remove, and sometimes edit the available content.... A collection of web pages that can be edited by a group.

17 …is a website that allows multiple users to create, modify and organize web page content in a collaborative manner. …is a collaborative website where the users are responsible for creating and maintaining the content.

18 Wikis Vs Blogs A blog, or web log, shares writing and multimedia content in the form of “posts” (starting point entries) and “comments” (responses to the posts). A wiki has a far more open structure and allows others to change what one person has written. This openness may trump individual opinion with group consensus.

19 Why use wikis in education? Wikis encourage collaborative learning and information sharing They increase student engagement and participation Wikis facilitate communication between teachers and parents and guardians

22 Group Projects Alignment: Avoid confusing email chains by collaboratively building and editing project information in a centralized location. Tracking: Collect all assignment details in one place. Scheduling: Plan out and manage a shared project calendar.
