Tool Kit Objectives This guide is not function, contract or site specific. It is designed to: Guide you through the critical steps of the New Employee Orientation (NEO) and on-boarding process Provide you with information and tools related to the NEO and on- boarding of your new employee Help you understand how your role can impact and improve the new employee experience Additional resources related to the NEO can be found on the Staffing Resource Center, the NEO Website or through your HR Generalist.

Pre-start On-boarding Overview
Acceptance 1st Day 1st Week 1st Month Mandatory Training Critical Actions Complete pre-start actions items on the Hiring Manager On-boarding Checklist Review the Critical On-boarding Information sheet & send a welcome to your new employee Review Hiring Manager Role in On-boarding & Assimilation Assign a Buddy to your new employee: Consider someone who is accessible, credible, and will be a good coach and resource Review specific goals & objectives with the assigned Buddy Review the Buddy Quick Reference Guide Sources of Help Hiring Manager Role in On-boarding & Assimilation Critical On-boarding Information & Welcome Buddy Quick Reference Guide Hiring Manager On-boarding Checklist (Checklist found on Slide 4) Create a formal on-boarding plan to help acclimate your new employee to Honeywell

1st Day On-boarding Overview
Pre-start/ Acceptance 1st Day 1st Week 1st Month Mandatory Training Critical Actions Be prepared to welcome, or assign someone to welcome your new employee. Provide an introduction to the identified Buddy and ensure your new employee understands the Buddy’s role in the on-boarding process. Refer to the Hiring Manager On-boarding Checklist to complete 1st Day actions items. Make sure your new employee has downloaded the New Employee On-Boarding Checklist from the NEO site. Ensure the I-9 process is completed by the employee and I-9 Administrator. Ensure your employee has been badged, (if applicable). 1st Week On-boarding Overview
Pre-start/ Acceptance 1st Day 1st Week 1st Month Mandatory Training Critical Actions Refer to the Hiring Manager On-Boarding Checklist to complete 1st Week action items. Meet with your employee to address any concerns with orienting to their new position/department/company. Follow up with the Buddy to solicit feedback on any barriers to on-boarding that should be addressed. Ensure your new employee is following their New Employee On-boarding Checklist to complete all 1st Week action items. 1st Month On-boarding Overview
Pre-start/ Acceptance 1st Day 1st Week 1st Month Mandatory Training Critical Actions Refer to the Hiring Manager On-Boarding Checklist to complete 1st Month action items. Ensure your new employee has visited the NEO site and has completed each individual Learning Module. Ensure your new employee is following their New Employee On-boarding Checklist to complete all 1st Month action items. NEO Training Requirements
Pre-start/ Acceptance 1st Day 1st Week 1st Month Mandatory Training Critical Actions Refer to the “Training For Your New Hire” portion of the Hiring Manager On-boarding Checklist to ensure your new employee has either completed or registered for all required new employee training. All new employees are required to take Code of Business Conduct Training within the first 30 days of hire.
