2. Mission Statement Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for- profit organization working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education and advocacy in cooperation with the community.

3. Feeding America Feeding America is a network of 210 Food Banks (think food supply chain distributors) across the nation. Feeding America is our umbrella organization under which we operate within strict guidelines and distribution protocol Food Bank of Central New York supplies our 11 counties through pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and additional programs.

Food Bank inventory in-streams Donations: Food, Funds, and gifts-in-kind V.A.P.: funds that may be accessed to help w/costs of donated harvest Wholesale purchase: donations would never meet the entire need, however are critical in maintaining the level of service we provide within budgetary constraints USDA: commodities distribution per availability
