WHAT IS A BLIMP? It’s a gas balloon that you can steer. It’s an aircraft that’s lighter than air. It’s also known as dirigible, zeppelin and airship. It’s a non-rigid or semi-rigid airship.

HOW DO THEY FLY? They have gasoline or diesel engines and they attach to drive-shaft mechanisms attached to large propellers outside the airship. To turn, there are horizontal and vertical fins at the stern (back).

HOW MUCH DO THEY HOLD? They can hold up to fifty people.
