EP sold the first infrared heating panels in 1997. During almost 10 years EP was part of the Scheuten Glas Group. End 2006 EPG acquired full ownership of EP. Following the acquisition EPG moved all activities from the Netherlands to Belgium. As from September 2008, EPG has set up its own factory and offices in Asper (near Gent, Belgium).

EPG believes infrared heating is fundamentally more energy efficient then convection heating: minimum 25%, in many cases +50%. Knowing that about 30% of the world energy consumption is heating and that 99% of the heating in the world is convectional heating. EPG products can make the world save 10% of energy.
