3. BACKGROUND OF NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL  Located in Paris, France.  It’s construction began from 1163 and ended at 1345.  The Bishop that started the construction was Maurice De Sully and his successor Eudes De Sully continued his work after he passed away.
