3. In 1620 there was an English expedition of about 150 pilgrims to conquer North America. The ship was called Mayflower

4. They made a settlement on east coast called Plymouth Rock. There, they found natives that didn’t know how to speak English.

5. They met Squanto, a native fisherman who knew English because he was a slave in England.

6. The natives showed them how to build and how to plant.

7. The Englishtook the harvest that they planted before, and made a big dinner with the natives. This is the origin of Thanksgiving Day.
