2. Hello children, my name is Joan Mirò. I’m a Spanish artist who began to draw at the age of 8. I have studied really hard to become a good painter, I also moved to Paris for a few years where I have met a lot of famous painters that they have became my art teachers. I even learned how to paint on glass and work the pottery; so as you might have understood I really enjoy myself with so many different things as you do in your school. The name of my craft is Surrealism: I just draw what I have in mind not what I see in the world around me. I often draw figures, landscapes and weird things which they don’t exist in the reality and sometimes I even paint what I see in my craziest dreams and do you know why? Because in the art anything is possible, like in a dream! Now look really carefully at one of my work so that you can enjoy it. Have fun with that!
