AmandaCharles Amanda and Charles have a great sexual relationship. They have been married for ten years…. but not to each other!

Amanda and Charles are committing adultery. Amanda is married to Greg. She has three children aged 3, 7 and 9. Charles is married to Jennifer. They have two children aged 6 months and 4. What problems might be caused by Amanda and Charles’ relationship?

Christian views on Adultery. Using the textbooks available, research how the Christian community views adultery. Use the picture clues to help you. Create a spider diagram of your answers. I do! Vows are made, ‘forsaking all others,’ promising to be faithful. Promises are made to God. Ten Commandments states ‘Do not commit adultery.’ Adultery breaks trust and ruins relationships. This could lead to divorce, which was not God’s intention for humans. Marriage is a sacrament, It involves God, humans do not have the power to break it. Adultery can break up families and create unstable upbringing for children. Rings are exchanged as a symbol of love and faithfulness.

A vow or promise of faithfulness is made in the seventh step of the wedding ceremony and this is a lifelong commitment. Adultery can break up families. Family is very important in Hinduism and divorce has repercussions for the whole community. Adultery prevents the soul from reaching moksha because one’s dharma (duty) has not been done
