Today’s Agenda 1.What we do 2.Who we are 3.How we do it

What we do: Improve accuracy of VR lists Help states identify voters who have moved, deceased voters, and duplicate registrations. States use the data to reach out to movers and encourage them to update registrations. States act on deceased and duplicate records in accordance with their state laws.

What we do: Boost efficiency Cleaner rolls result in a cleaner election – fewer problems on election day. Fewer issues at the polls. Less returned mail. Outreach helps reduced spike in registration activity at election time results in more efficient operations.

What we do: Reduce costs of elections Savings by joint purchases of Social Security Death Index and USPS NCOA services. Significant drop in returned mail. Reduced spike in registration activity at election time results in less overtime.

Presidential Commission Report “The Commission endorses state programs to share data and to collaborate in the synchronization of voter lists so that the states, on their own initiative, come as close as possible to creating an accurate database of the eligible electorate.” www.supportthevoter.gov
