5 Cable and Broadcast Television Refers to educational programs that are videotaped and broadcast via cable and public broadcast television. These systems may be used to create learner-centered (asynchronous) learning environments for a large number of geographically dispersed learners. Courses that are broadcast via cable networks are sometimes referred to as telecourses.
