12.2 Impersonal Subjunctive: When the main clause expresses the speaker’s attitude toward events/actions/ state that the speaker view as uncertain or hypothetical. 12.3 will & influence When someone wants to affect the actions or behavior of other people. ex:

13.1 emotion: When the main clause expresses an emotion/feeling use the subjunctive in the subordinate clause.

13.2 doubt, disbelief, denial: When negation or uncertainty is implied, use the subjunctive in the subordinate clause. ex:

13.3 conjunctions: Conjunctions are words or phrases that connect clauses in sentences. *Certain conjunctions introduce adverbial clauses, which describe: how why when where an action takes place. These conjunctions ALWAYS require the subjunctive.
