2 Project requirements All students are to research the story of the show and record a detailed synopsis in their DWB of they story from beginning to end. Separately, each student is to independently research and describe in their DWB the context of their song in the show. How does it fit into the show and how it helps tell the story of the scene. Cite your sources. (Not Wikipedia)

3 Other research to include Influences on the show such as historical significance, cultural influences, personal interests based on the authors of the story or music, basis for the musical and/or any other meaningful information to give a clear understanding of how this show came to be in existence. This should all be done in the DWB. Cite your sources. (Not Wikipedia)

4 Research Presentation Each group will create a Power Point (or like presentation) where they compile all their research findings in an organized and meaningful format. You are to include pictures in your presentation. Properly cite all sources!!!! (Not Wikipedia)

5 The performance No group may be larger than 5 members, but may be as small as 2 members. Each group will choose one song from their show choice to prepare for performance. The choreography (the planned dance/rhythmic movement) must fit the song. It also must be appropriate for a classroom setting. The group must either all lip sync or all perform live. Groups are responsible for finding karaoke tracks if you choose to perform live. If you choose to lip sync, groups are responsible for finding the track.

6 The performance Your performance may be done in the context of the show or displaced. However, displaced performances must have a story to put the song in context with lead in and lead out dialogue. If the performance is in context of the show, include lead in and lead out dialogue from the show.

7 The performance Any costuming must fit over regular clothes. NO EXCEPTIONS! The lip sync should be convincing and done by all members of the group, even if you are a chorus member. Song choices should be appropriate for a classroom setting. Group sizes should be determined by the needs of the song choice. You must work with people you did not work with on the last project.
