2. Atlantis is one of the world's greatest mysteries. It is said to be the lost Atlantic continent, the first home of civilization, a paradise, drowned by a natural catastrophe at the height of its power, and now lying deep under the ocean, with only the tops of its mountains coming from the ocean floor. To others, Atlantis is merely a legend, invented by Plato, the Greek philosopher.

3. The name Atlantis derives from atlas, the giant Greek God who is said to have supported the sky. In Greek, Atlantis means "Daughter of Atlas". According to Plato, Atlantis was a garden of Eden with a lot of precious minerals and crystals...

4. There are many opinios about the location of Atlantis. A large percentage believe, as did Plato, that it is a sunken island under the Atlantic Ocean. Others believe it is located near the Greek islands of Crete or Thera (Santorini). A severe earthquake on 9th July 1956 disturbed Thera and the ruins of what appeared to be an ancient civilization were found. Human bones, teeth, together with pottery and other artistic relics were Carbon-14 dated by Professor Galanopoulous. The results pointed to this being the remains of Atlantis.

5. They say Atlantean civilization had a very advanced wisdom that made great progress in various areas of knowledge. Made space travel, with interchange with other planets of the solar system. The inhabitants were divided into two social classes: the men of blazing light, or light yellow, which were the most spiritualize; of the dark side, or the red side, who were the least spiritualized. According to ancient writings, the dark side would have taken the power, forcing the face of blazing to shelter inside the mountains. This caused a great division of the nation atlente. Besides scientific knowledge in the area, the Atlantes also had great knowledge of the forces of nature. But, with so much knowledge that failed to prevent these natural forces to destroy everything, and leaving no trace of their existence.

6. My opinion... In my opinion the lost world of Atlantis can have existed. Because there´s a lot of civilization that disappear during the history. But I think it was a normal civilization, without powers or something like this.
