2 What is wind energy? Wind energy is energy used to create electrical power from wind. Wind turbines turns kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power, this then turns the generator, and the generators covert the mechanical power into electrical power.

3 Wind is moving air and is caused by differences in air pressure within our atmosphere. Air under high pressure moves toward areas of low pressure.
