USC and Student Health Insurance Every USC student is required to have health insurance – A health insurance fee is automatically charged to your account but it can be waived. $297.00 for the Summer $610.00 for the Fall $1,102.00 for the Spring – If you have your own private insurance, you can apply to waive out of Aetna Student Health Plan. USC and Student Health Insurance Summary of Plan Changes USC Student Health Insurance Plan Changes for 2015-2016 – The $50 Annual pharmacy deductible will be eliminated, student will continue to pay a copay for generic and brand drugs. The generic copay will not change. However, the brand copay will change from 10% with $25 minimum to 20% with $30 minimum. – The emergency room copay will be increased from $150 to $200. – A $100 copay for ambulatory outpatient surgeries will bed added.
