7. How can gain this qualification? Your degree is broken down into credits. Most of your credits go towards your principal subjects (e.g. Politics and International Relations) The remaining credits are used for ‘elective’ classes (modules). The Certificate in TESOL is taken over four elective modules. Entry to the course is through an entrance test and interview

8. Course Information You take one module per semester over four semesters (two in year 1 and two in year 2). You can finish by the end of Year 2. The system is flexible and can cater for students who want to study abroad.

9. COURSE CONTENT You will develop highly practical and transferable classroom skills. You will increase your knowledge of English and your ability to communicate in a variety of situations. You will learn to design, create and adapt materials. You will put into practice theories of language teaching and language learning.

11. Is it expensive? Normally, a certificate course such as this would cost you approximately £1400. HOWEVER At Keele, this course will cost you only £140 (for the moderation fee), if you take all four as elective modules. Keele has one of the highest pass rates.

12. 5-week Intensive Certificate in TESOL The same qualification as the two-year modular course July – August 2016 Tuition fees range from £1200 - £1490 (+ moderation fee of £140) This course is not taken as part of the Keele degree programme.
