 In 2005, global electricity consumption averaged 2 TW. 
This table from shows the potential of the various Ocean Energy resources. It’s a big source, and these numbers are still conventional. Baseload = 24/7 production
International Energy Association: None of these technologies is widely deployed as yet, but significant potential exists. The IEA believes that these technologies could start to play a sizable role in electricity mix around 2030.
