According to the Todd study, students in Delaware say the school librarian helps them by: Engaging them in specific learning tasks related to conducting quality research. Keeping them connected to a creative and satisfying world of ideas through literature. Providing a comfortable, safe environment for independent learning. Meeting their individual and specific needs.

According to the Delaware study, 99.82% of faculty members surveyed perceived that the school library has helped their students in a variety of ways, including: Being an active instructional partner Teaching information literacy skills Enhancing student’s reading skills Providing a welcoming environment Responding to student’s individual needs
