Primary database used to save transactions, store master data and link POS registers within the store. -Database used by POS when store db is unavailable -Stores copies of master data -Optional -Data synchronization service built on Microsoft Sync Framework -Independent of POS -Windows services created by database utility -Used to create the store and offline databases as well as set register configuration -Can be installed independently from POS
