2. OUR SOLAR SYSTEM  Our solar system has eight different planets with a dwarf planet named Pluto.  We are the third planet in the solar system.

3. SUN  The sun is really a star.  It is made of fire and gas.

4. Mercury  Mercury is one of the hottest planets in the solar system.  Mercury is about the size of Earth.

5. Venus  Venus is the second planet to the sun.  Venus is the warmest.

6. OUR EARTH  This is our planet, and we call it Earth.  The Earth is made mostly of water.

7. THE ASTEROID BELT  The asteroid belt divides the inner planets and outer planets.  They call it an asteroid belt because it has asteroids in the shape of a belt.

8. JUPITER  Jupiter is the biggest planet in the galaxy.  Jupiter has about 63 moons.

9. SATURN  Saturn is the planet with rings.  No one has been on Saturn.

10. URANUS  Uranus spins on its side unlike most planets.  It has just about 27 moons.

11. NEPTUNE  Neptune is made up of hydrogen and helium.  It has no more than 13 moons.

12. DWARF PLANETS  There are 5 different dwarf planets.  Nobody knows how may moons there are.

13. STARS  Stars are millions of pieces of gas.  They make pictures in your mind called constellations if you look closely.

14. CONSTELLATIONS  Constellations are pictures that you see in the stars.  This constellation is Orion and comes from a story in Greek times.

15. GALAXY  We live in a galaxy our galaxy is called the milky way.  Galaxies have stars and planets.

16. THE MILKY WAY  The Milky Way is the galaxy that we live in.  It looks beautiful from space I bet.

17. UNIVERSE The universe includes everything in space.  The planet Earth is in the universe too.

18. comet  A comet is a big rock that would mostly come in 50 years.  They are big rocks that almost hit earth.

19. telescope  A telescope can see stuff in outer space like the moon  There are very big telescope to see different planets.
