6. Gathering On a blow pipe, gather material from the furnace.

7. Blowing Use a strong blow to create a bubble in the glass.

8. Shaping or Blocking Use a block to create a uniform shape.

9. Jacking Use jacks to cut out the neck which will eventually be the lip of the cup.

10. Swinging Swinging elongates the piece.

11. Additional blowing Additional blowing expands the shape and size.

12. Shaping the bottom Reheating is needed as the piece cools. Flattening the bottom with a paddle so the cup will sit properly.

13. Punty time The bottom of the cup is attached to a punty rod with more glass to create the opening at the top.

14. Opening the lip Reheat and open the lip using a jack.

15. Finishing The cup is separated from the punty rod and put in the Annealer using a glove.
