There are 2 outcomes for this unit: Outcome 1 The learner will: Analyse and evaluate factors that impact on performance in physical activities by: 1.1 Analysing methods used to identify factors impacting on a performance 1.2 Evaluating the impact of positive and negative factors on a performance 1.3 Explaining approaches to performance development based on these evaluations

Outcome 2 The learner will: Evaluate the process of personal performance development by: 2.1 Producing a personal development plan that sets appropriate development targets 2.2 Selecting methods to record and monitor development 2.3 Implementing the development plan 2.4 Evaluating the effectiveness of the development plan and the methods used to monitor development 2.5 Identifying and justifying decisions relating to future personal development needs

1.1 Analysing methods used to identify factors impacting on a performance
This is about your knowledge and understanding of at least two different recognised methods used to identify two different factors impacting on performance.

. . 1.2 Evaluating the impact of positive and negative factors on a performance You must provide an evaluation of two different factors (from mental, social, emotional or physical) on a performance. The evaluation must include at least one specific positive impact and at least one specific negative impact for each different factor.

1.3 Explaining approaches to performance development based on these evaluations
Candidates must explain two different approaches to developing performance based on their evaluations of the positive and negative impacts of factors on performance used to meet Assessment Standard 1.2

2. 1. Producing a personal development plan that
2.1 Producing a personal development plan that sets appropriate development targets Candidates must construct a personal development plan that contains a different development target for two different factors that impact on performance (from mental, emotional, social or physical).

2.2 Selecting methods to record and monitor development
Candidates must provide at least two reasons for the selection of one method used to record performance development. Candidates must provide two different reasons for the selection of a different method to monitor performance development.

2.3 Implementing the development plan
Evidence must be provided of the candidate implementing the plan used to meet Assessment Standard 2.1.

2.4 Evaluating the effectiveness of the development plan and the methods used to monitor development
Candidates must evaluate the effectiveness of the personal development plan used to meet Assessment Standard 2.1 and evaluate the methods used to monitor development. The evaluation must include: at least two evaluative points about the effectiveness of the development plan at least one evaluative point about the method used to monitor development Intermediate 1 introductory information. 11

2.5 Identifying and justifying decisions relating to future personal development needs
Candidates must identify and justify at least two future development needs in relation to two different factors (from mental, emotional, social or physical).
