7. Composite Volcanoes Small in size with a steep slope Short life span Made of pyroclastic flow – Pyroclastic flow – fast moving current of hot gas and rock.

8. Mt. St. Helens Mt. St. Helens is a Composite Volcano Erupted in the state of Washington in 1980 It was very destructive and deadly The eruption created an earthquake, landslide, and explosion. – Earthquake – shaking of the ground caused by the release of energy stored in the rocks beneath the Earth’s surface. – Landslide – when gravity pulls the ground and creates ground movement (including rocks, soil, etc.) along a slope or mountain side.
