1 Fetal Development

2 4 to 7 Weeks (One Month) Baby is an Embryo consisting of two layers of cells. All of their organs and body parts will develop from these two cells

3 8 to 12 Weeks (Two Months) Baby is now about the size of a kidney bean and it is constantly moving. The baby has distinct slightly webbed fingers.

4 13 to 16 Weeks (Three Months)
By now the baby is about 3 inches long and weighs nearly an ounce. Their tiny unique fingerprints are now in place.

5 17 to 20 Weeks (Four Months) The Baby is now 5 inches long and weighs 5 ounces. Skeleton is starting to harden from rubbery cartilage to bone.

6 21 to 24 Weeks (Four Months) Eyebrows and eyelids are now in place.
Baby would now be more then 10 inches long if you stretched out their legs.

7 25 to 29 Weeks (Six Months) Baby weighs about a pound and a half.
Its wrinkled skin is starting to smooth out. The baby is beginning to put on fat now.

8 30 to 33 Weeks (Seven Months)
The baby now weighs about 3 pounds and is more than 15 inches long. They can open and close their eyes and follow a light.

9 34 to 37 Weeks (Eight Months)
The baby now weighs about 4 and 3/4 pounds. Layers of fat are filling the baby out, making it rounder and its lungs are well developed.

10 38 to 40 Weeks (Nine Months) The average baby is more than 19 inches long and weighs nearly 7 pounds now. Remember that babies vary widely in size at this this stage.
