2 DBE Program replaces existing MBE/WBE Program Old program required the use of Minority and Women Business Enterprises New program requires the use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises – Socially Disadvantaged (i.e., either a Woman owned or Minority owned firm) – Economically Disadvantaged (personal net worth of less than $750,000)

4 DBE Certification The Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly SOWMBA, will certify for the SRF program. They will use the existing DOT certification process with a few modifications. ~ 950 DBEs are currently certified through the DOT process. Until the certification process is finalized, SRF borrowers will need to use the existing certified DBEs

5 Program Outreach Mid-July roll out of DBE program Meetings with consultants Meetings with contractors SDO outreach to MBE/WBE contractors
